Development of "BAPER" Teaching Aids for Science Learning to Improve Elementary School Student Learning Outcomes

This research is motivated by the fact that the science learning process tends to be monotonous, thus not motivating students. One effort to overcome this problem is to develop a “BAPER” (Breathing Balloon) teaching aid. This type of research is R & D using the ADDIE model which includes Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The types of data in the development of the “BAPER” teaching aid are qualitative and quantitative data. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and questionnaires. Data analysis includes validity, practicality, and effectiveness analysis. The validity results of the “BAPER” teaching aid show that the results of language validation obtained 0.97%, media validation obtained 0.83%, module validation obtained 0.87%, and material validation obtained 0.85% with a very valid category. The results of the practicality test from educator responses obtained 93.75% with a very practical category, while the results of the practicality test from student responses obtained 100% with a very practical category. The results of the pretest and posttest effectiveness test obtained an N-Gain score of 85.01% with a very effective category. So, it can be concluded that the development of the "BAPER" teaching aid is in the very valid, very practical and very effective category.
