Development of Innovative Teaching Aids for Solar Cells as an Alternative Energy Source as a Stimulant for Students' Creativity

This study aims to develop an innovative solar cell-based teaching aid as a learning medium for alternative energy that can stimulate students' creative thinking at SDN 189/II Sari Mulya. The study uses a 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). In the Define stage, a needs analysis is conducted; in the Design stage, a prototype of the tool is designed; in the Develop stage, expert validation and limited trials are carried out; and in the Disseminate stage, a limited dissemination is carried out. The validation results indicate that the tool is very feasible to use. The trial on 25 students showed a significant increase in aspects of creative thinking (fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration). This teaching aid also provides real-life experience in understanding alternative energy. These findings indicate that learning media based on real-life practices can increase the appeal and effectiveness of science learning in elementary schools. This study recommends further development on a wider scale to support environmentally conscious education
